High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) tumor treatment technology, as a representative of the emerging non-invasive tumor treatment technology at the end of the 20th century, is in line with the development trend of modern medicine, i.e. the treatment of tumors from invasive® minimally invasive® to non-invasive. High-intensity focused ultrasound tumor treatment system non-invasive thermal ablation of tumors has the advantages of no incision, no bleeding, no damage to normal tissues when treating tumors, no pain to patients, fast recovery, short hospitalization time, and preservation of organs. And ultrasound, as a radiation-free and pollution-free mechanical wave, has no effect on patients and operators, does not damage the normal tissues around the lesion, and the tumor tissues killed by ultrasound will stimulate the body’s own immunity and shorten the recovery cycle of patients. The HEFL knife has been clinically applied in large hospitals in Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, China, England, Italy, Spain, Japan, Korea, Russia and so on. Our hospital spent more than eight million RMB to introduce the first and world leading JC200 high-intensity focused ultrasound tumor treatment system (HEFT) in Henan Province in November 2009. Wu Yang, Department of Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic and Liver Transplantation, First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University
At present, our department has successfully completed more than sixty cases of primary and metastatic liver tumors. The treatment process was smooth and smooth, and the patients recovered quickly and painlessly after surgery without complications. The results of postoperative review show that the patient’s methemoglobin level has significantly decreased, and the SCT and MRI review show that all or most of the lesions have undergone liquefaction necrosis, achieving the effect of one-time non-invasive “thermal resection” surgical treatment.
The indications of HAVO: primary or metastatic liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, soft tissue tumors, retroperitoneal tumors, pelvic tumors, breast cancer, malignant bone tumors, kidney cancer and other malignant tumors, benign liver tumors, uterine fibroids, breast fibroids and other solid tumors that can be shown by B-ultrasound, etc.
