What are the antidepressants

Some patients ask, “What are the “five golden flowers” that you are talking about? The five products in the SSRIs category are imaginatively called the “five golden flowers” of antidepressants by the psychiatric community in China, which are: fluoxetine (Pepcid), paroxetine (Seroquel), sertraline (Zoloft), fluvoxamine (Lanxel) and citalopram (Xipomol). The five “golden flowers” of antidepressants are: fluoxetine (Prozac), paroxetine (Seroquel), sertraline (Zoloft), fluvoxamine (Lanxel) and citalopram (Xipomol). It is a highly selective 5-HT reuptake inhibitor and has a weak effect on norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake, but its effect is 100 times that of the right-hand side of citalopram, with less adverse effects than citalopram. The adverse effects are milder than those of citalopram. 1, Prozac Fluoxetine hydrochloride, the domestic have Youk, Omelan. The effect is basically the same. Prozac can make people energetic, but there are side effects of insomnia and light mania. Fluoxetine has a slow onset of action for individuals, sometimes even six weeks before it gradually takes effect, so you need to wait patiently for it to take effect. Fluoxetine is useful for the recovery of hippocampal atrophy. Fluoxetine tends to cause mania. Fluoxetine may cause weight loss within one year of administration. It has a greater effect on sexual function. Fluoxetine is not suitable for patients with insomnia. 2, Zoloft (sertraline) SSRI in the dopamine reuptake inhibition is the strongest, the strength of its effect can even be compared with Ritalin. Sertraline is suitable for people who lack a sense of pleasure and has relatively little inhibition of movement and alertness. Sertraline is a fast-acting antidepressant (effects are usually seen in 7 days). Sertraline may be effective in people with emotional deficits. Sertraline is more effective in treating depression in women than in men. Because sertraline has in uptake inhibition of dopamine, it has less effect on sexual function. 3, Cipro (citalopram) Citalopram is a very selective 5hydroxytryptamine in-uptake inhibitor, because it has little affinity for receptors other than 5hydroxytryptamine, so it is highly selective and has relatively few side effects. Its ability to inhibit 5hydroxytryptamine reuptake is weaker than that of paroxetine sertraline. Long-term administration of citalopram can restore the expression capacity. The literature says that long-term administration of citalopram is rarely resistant and that the ultimate treatment of depression is better and less likely to produce drug resistance. Citalopram is also effective in anti-anxiety. Citalopram is also suitable for depressed patients who are unresponsive. 4, Celerity (paroxetine) 5hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibition is the strongest drug. It is anxiolytic and can treat generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder with good effect on generalized anxiety disorder. It has a slight anticholinergic effect, which is the only antidepressant among SSRIs that has anticholinergic effects. Paroxetine is less likely to produce excitability and is a better choice for people with insomnia.
