A positive syphilis test does not always mean syphilis

Infectious diseases where acute reactions may occur include rubella, upper respiratory tract infections, viral pneumonia, etc. Many elderly people also develop positive TPPA. There are also many patients with RPR-positive test report forms, seeking medical consultation everywhere. The test report form only states positive RPR or USR, some of which are indicated by +, which makes many clinicians misunderstand that each test should report the exact titer (i.e., quantitative results) for positive results, so that the efficacy of clinical treatment can be easily observed after regular treatment. It takes half a year or a year, and in some cases up to two years. Some patients repeat the regular course of treatment each time at the follow-up because of RPR positivity. After syphilis is cured, the serum non-specific test becomes negative, but regular serum re-tests are still needed to prevent recurrence. However, syphilis-specific tests are generally positive for life and do not require treatment.
