What is the recommended treatment for asymptomatic hyperuricemia?

1.Improve lifestyle. In 2006, the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) recommendations on gout prevention and treatment emphasized lifestyle changes as the core of treatment of HUA, including healthy diet, smoking cessation, adherence to exercise and weight control. Healthy drinking: Already have gout, HUA, metabolic cardiovascular risk factors and middle-aged and elderly people, diet should be based on low purine food, strictly control the intake of C foods such as meat, seafood and animal offal, reduce the intake of B foods in moderate amount and eat mainly A foods. 2.Actively treat metabolic risk factors associated with elevated blood uric acid In 2006, the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) recommendations on gout prevention and treatment emphasized that active control of cardiovascular risk factors associated with HUA, such as hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hyperglycemia, obesity and smoking, should be an important part of HUA treatment. 3.Patients with HUA should avoid the application of drugs that increase blood uric acid: such as diuretics (especially thiazides), glucocorticoids, insulin, cycloheximide, tacrolimus, nicotine, pyrazinamide, niacin, etc. For patients who need to take diuretics and have combined HUA, avoid thiazide diuretics, and at the same time alkalize urine, drink more water and keep daily urine volume above 2000ml. For patients with hypertension combined with HUA, antihypertensive drugs other than thiazide diuretics are preferred. Target value of HUA treatment: blood uric acid <357umol/l (6mg/dl). 1.Blood uric acid test is routinely performed during physical examination to detect asymptomatic HUA as early as possible. 2.All patients with asymptomatic HUA need to make therapeutic lifestyle changes; avoid applying drugs that raise blood uric acid as much as possible. 3.If asymptomatic HUA is combined with cardiovascular risk factors or cardiovascular diseases (including hypertension, abnormal glucose tolerance or diabetes, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure or abnormal renal function), blood uric acid value >8mg/dl should be given to drug treatment; for HUA without cardiovascular risk factors or cardiovascular diseases, blood uric acid value >9mg/dl should be given to drug treatment.
