How do you think about the side effects of drugs?

Many patients need medication and want to be treated, but they are afraid of side effects such as whether the drug will be dependent on it or not, whether the liver and kidneys will be damaged, and so on and so forth. We have a saying that “medicine is three parts poison”, we do not avoid any medicine has different degrees of side effects, but we should not ignore the other seven points of its therapeutic effect. To take a step back, drugs have side effects on the body, then the disease is not treated, the disease itself, which is greater than the adverse effects of drugs, to weigh the pros and cons! Besides, the psychiatric drugs used now (including antipsychotics, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, etc.) are certainly safe overall, and much safer compared to older drugs. The side effects of each drug are detailed in the manual and are generally divided into common side effects, such as dizziness, loss of appetite, etc. These side effects often disappear within a few days, and the incidence is not high. There are also rare side effects and side effects for some special groups. Furthermore, even common side effects do not occur in all people. Rare side effects are difficult to predict because the life sciences are complex and individual differences are great, and we should not choke on them. I recommend that you take your medication as prescribed. Your doctor will usually tell you the common side effects that may occur when you are prescribed a medication to remind you that you do not need to be nervous if they occur. Some side effects of medications may overlap with some physical symptoms of the disease. Patients may think that I already have this phenomenon, and that dizziness and nausea will not be further aggravated after taking the medication, and some patients may even come to the doctor the next day after taking the medication once. In fact, in most cases is that you are too anxious, emotions aggravate the original symptoms, and the drug does not have much to do with.
