In the early stage of acute hepatitis, patients should be hospitalized to rest and minimize physical and mental activities, and rest in bed. During the recovery period of acute hepatitis, physical exercise should be gradually increased. Chronic hepatitis active period should also be hospitalized rest treatment, not suitable for physical exercise, exertion is one of the common factors of chronic hepatitis disease aggravation. When the liver function is normalized, the amount of exercise should be gradually increased, but we should pay attention to the principle of gradual progress, and we must act according to our ability. Aerobic exercises such as walking, jogging, swimming and gymnastics should be preferred, and are not suitable for competitive physical exercise. Patients with cirrhosis should rest in bed when they have complications, but they can perform light exercises such as making fists and lifting limbs in the bed, which can prevent muscle atrophy. When complications are under control, light physical exercise such as walking and tai chi can be performed. Strenuous and prolonged exercise is strictly prohibited.
