Precautions for treatment of cervical cancer patients

After being hospitalized, many patients go through three stages of psychological changes: shock, denial and painful acceptance, hoping to have rapid surgery to remove the tumor and return to normal life. However, the treatment of tumor is a science, and nowadays, the treatment of cervical cancer is becoming more and more precise, and the 5-year survival rate of patients is increasing due to the accurate staging and correct treatment. Therefore, the suitability of surgery needs to be determined according to the patient’s condition, and surgical treatment should not be pursued blindly, otherwise it will be counterproductive. As I said in my previous article, surgery is generally chosen for early stage cervical cancer, but if the clinical stage is 1B2 and 2A2, then the preferred treatment is simultaneous radiotherapy rather than surgical excision. This is the only treatment with the best prognosis and the highest 5-year survival rate. Do not! It is often said that there are specialties in different professions. Gynecologic oncologists are different from general obstetricians and gynecologists, they will not only treat tumors precisely, but also guide patients’ long-term follow-up and daily life; their pursuit of tumor patients’ treatment is not simply clinical cure, but 5-year survival rate, 10-year survival rate and disease-free survival. Tumor patients, you should understand that tumor is a chronic disease, just like hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, etc. It belongs to the category of chronic disease, so don’t be afraid, and treat the disease with a correct attitude, wish you recover soon and return to normal life!
