The program is dedicated to training volunteers to reach out to hospitalized children (both physically and mentally ill) and their families to assist them with reading, painting, arts and crafts. “In March 2008, with the support of our Director Yu Xin, the volunteer organization entered into a partnership with our pediatric ward. In March 2008, with the support of our director Yu Xin, the volunteer organization reached a cooperation agreement with the pediatric ward of our hospital, and the “Sunshine Project” volunteer organization started to train volunteers regularly, provide the children in the hospital with supplies for indoor and outdoor activities, and organize a variety of colorful activities for the children in the ward. The activities were very successful. The activities were very successful and well received by the children and parents.     In the weekly “small outings”, children can go to the supermarket for shopping, go to the gym, play, go to the river meadow for greenery, and go to the snow for photography ……. The “Big Outing” is a dream come true for the children, with nurses, doctors, and sometimes parents accompanying the children to Beihai and Yuanmingyuan, making them love life again and greatly contributing to the children’s recovery. Volunteers from the Sunshine Project come to the ward every Tuesday afternoon to spend a wonderful afternoon with the children, doing crafts, painting, making sandwiches, sand painting, playing group games ……. The children love these big sisters and brothers so much that they eagerly await the arrival of Tuesday every week… …During these activities, the children not only gained knowledge, but also played a positive role in the recovery of the disease. The volunteers, doctors and nurses, and the children had an enjoyable and memorable time.
