There is no scientific basis for the folk treatment of lead-poisoned infants and young children. Commonly used treatments include getting out of high-lead environments, stopping eating high-lead foods, and medication. 1. When lead poisoning occurs in infants and young children, it is necessary to get out of high-lead environments, such as welding places, automobile repair factories, and highways with high vehicle emissions, etc., so as to reduce the lead from entering into the child’s body. 2. Stop eating foods that contain high levels of lead, such as popcorn and puffed eggs, and wash your hands in a timely manner after playing with colorful toys, drawings and other high-lead items to avoid entering the body through the food in your hands. 3. If the child’s lead poisoning is more serious, he/she needs to be treated with lead-removing medicines, such as calcium sodium edetate and penicillamine. When infants and young children show symptoms of lead poisoning, they should bring their children to the pediatrics department of the hospital in time, and give them targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease, so as to avoid delaying the child’s condition.
