Male partner: male with mild oligospermia; abnormal semen liquefaction; retrograde ejaculation; sexual dysfunction; genital anomalies with spermatogenic function. Female: abnormal mucus secretion from the uterus and cervix; malformation of the reproductive tract with fertility; inability to have intercourse due to psychological factors; immune infertility; unexplained infertility. Pre-operative preparation and treatment process of artificial insemination: The couple should bring along their ID cards, marriage certificate and fertility certificate (referred to as the three certificates) and come to the hospital for pre-operative examination time and requirements The examination time for the female partner: 2-5 days after seeing red menstruation and 2-3 days after menstruation is clean; the examination time for the male partner: 3-5 days of abstinence. The examination before performing IUI treatment usually takes one menstrual cycle. Treatment process: generally, ovulation monitoring, determination of ovulation period, determination of IUI time, and completion of IUI. Success rate of natural pregnancy and artificial insemination: The chance of natural conception in January for women of normal reproductive age is 18-20%. The State Ministry of Health requires that the husband’s insemination (IUI) be no less than 15% per cycle, and our hospital has a success rate of 20%-25%. Why does the assisted conception treatment fail even though the follicle development, endometrium, fallopian tubes and cervical mucus are all good? The process of artificial insemination and natural conception are almost the same, only the way of sperm delivery is different. Since the pregnancy process is influenced by many factors and each couple may have other combined infertility factors, the hospital cannot guarantee that every couple will be able to conceive successfully. If conception is not successful after 4-5 cycles of treatment, it is necessary to perform further tests such as laparoscopy or other methods of in vitro fertilization to help conception.
