Medical definition of somatization depression

The medical diagnosis of somatization depression is named moderate depressive episode with somatic syndrome. The somatic syndrome includes symptoms such as: loss of interest or pleasure in activities of usual interest, lack of corresponding response to events or activities that normally produce emotional reactions; waking up more than 2 hours earlier than usual; also depressive symptoms with morning and evening symptoms, i.e. depression increases in the morning and decreases in the afternoon or even in the evening; and marked psychomotor retardation and agitation, for example. For example, the patient’s reaction is very slow, inefficient or easily irritated, easily lose temper; in addition, the patient’s appetite is significantly reduced or even lost, that is, not wanting to eat, in addition to significant weight loss, for example, more than 5% less than last month’s weight; there is also a significant loss of sexual desire.
