What is Gallbladder Cancer

Gallbladder cancer: Gallbladder cancer is the most common malignant tumor of gallbladder, with insidious onset and no specific symptoms in the early stage, and most of the patients with gallbladder cancer are in the progressive stage (i.e. middle and late stage). Radical resection is difficult to implement, and gallbladder cancer is not sensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, so the treatment effect is poor. In order to improve the treatment effect of gallbladder cancer, what we can do now is early detection and early surgery (radical resection). Then how to achieve early detection?        Although gallbladder stones themselves do not become cancerous, they can stimulate the gallbladder wall and lead to chronic inflammation, and long-term inflammatory changes can develop into cancer. Therefore, patients with gallbladder stones, especially those with no obvious pain symptoms, large stones and long stones, should be alert to the possibility of gallbladder cancer. The gallbladder is an organ for storing and concentrating bile. At present, the first choice of treatment for gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps, cholecystitis and gallbladder cancer is gallbladder removal. From practical experience, people who have their gallbladder removed have not experienced any survival crisis due to the absence of gallbladder. From this we can see that the gallbladder is not an organ necessary for our survival, so we rarely feel the disease when it is diseased and does not cause symptoms such as pain, fever, jaundice, etc.        The gallbladder is an organ of digestive system, and minor gallbladder lesions can cause abdominal distension and discomfort, which is often treated as gastritis or not seen at all, thus delaying the condition. For screening examination of gallbladder cancer, ultrasound is preferred, paying attention to the thickness of gallbladder wall, whether the mucosa is uniform and smooth, and whether there is any restricted bulge, etc.
