Chinese medicine treats diseases with evidence and three factors (according to the person, the place and the time); Chinese medicine health care is even more concerned with the application of the body and the three factors. This means that TCM health care not only focuses on identifying people’s physical characteristics, but also on the use of medicine according to people’s physical characteristics, the characteristics of the geographical environment they live in, and the climatic characteristics of the season in which the disease occurs. According to the different physical characteristics, psychological characteristics, common manifestations, pathogenic tendencies and adaptability to the outside world, the Chinese physique can be divided into pinghe, qi deficiency, yang deficiency, yin deficiency, phlegm damp, damp heat, blood stasis, qi yu, blood deficiency and special endowment, etc. The common manifestations of different physiques are described as follows: pinghe physique common manifestations: body type is proportional and robust; face and skin color is moist The hair is dense and lustrous, the eyes are luminous, the sense of smell is fluent, the lips are red, not easily fatigued, full of energy, resistant to heat and cold, good sleep, good appetite, normal bowel movements. Common manifestations of qi deficiency: muscle is not strong, voice is low, short of breath and lazy, limbs are easy to be tired, spirit is weak, easy to sweat, face is yellow or white, gaze is less bright, mouth is pale, lips are less colorful, hair is not flashy, dizziness and forgetfulness, stool is normal or constipated but not hard, or stool is not shaped, still feel incomplete after stool, urine is normal or more. Common manifestations of blood deficiency: thin body, muscle is not strong, pale face lack of luster, lip color, nail color pale, accompanied by dizziness and blurred vision (especially when squatting and standing), easy hair loss or hair breakage, hands and feet numbness, palpitations and insomnia, easy to panic heartbeat, common dry eyes and constipation, etc.. Women may also have light-colored menstruation and low volume. Common manifestations of Yang deficiency: white and fat body, not strong muscles; fear of cold, the hands and feet are not warm, like hot food, lack of energy, sleep; soft white face, obscure eyes, light lips, hair falls easily, easy to sweat, loose stools, urine clear and long. Common manifestations of Yin deficiency: long and thin body, hot hands and feet, dry mouth and throat, slightly dry nose, thirst for cold drinks, dry stools, flushed face, dry eyes, flowery vision, red and slightly dry lips, dry skin, wrinkles, dizziness and tinnitus, poor sleep, short urine. Common manifestations of phlegm-damp constitution: obese body shape, fat and flabby abdomen, more oil on facial skin, sweating, chest tightness, more phlegm, yellowish and dark face, slightly floating eye bubbles, easily sleepy, fat tongue, white and greasy or sweet tongue coating, unpleasant body weight, fond of eating fat, sweet and sticky, normal or insubstantial stool, little or slightly mixed urine. Damp-heat constitution: fat or thin; oily face, acne prone, easy to mouth bitter and dry, heavy and sleepy body, disturbed and slack, red eyes, dry or sticky stool, short and red urine, male prone to scrotal dampness, female prone to increased dribbling. Stasis of blood is common: thin people mostly; plain face dark, dark skin or pigmentation, prone to petechiae, dark or purple lips, dark eyes, dark stagnant nose, hair easy to fall off, dry skin, women see dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, or menstrual blood in more clotted blood, or menstrual color purple and black with lumps, leakage, or bleeding tendency, vomiting blood. The Qi-yu physique has a thin physique, and it is common to have an introverted and unstable personality, depression and fragility, sensitivity and suspicion, poor adaptability to mental stimuli, a melancholic appearance, a sullen and unhappy appearance, chest distension and fullness, or pain, belching and rebellion, or a foreign body feeling between the throat, or breast distension and pain, poor sleep, loss of appetite, palpitations, forgetfulness, phlegm, dry stools, and normal urine.
