Gallbladder cancer is all around us

Recently, a colleague’s mother was admitted to the hospital with persistent abdominal distension and jaundice, and was found to have irregular changes in the gallbladder, irregular thickening of the gallbladder wall, extensive multiple nodules in the liver, ranging in size from 1.0-5.0 cm, dilated intrahepatic bile ducts, extruded occlusion of the bile ducts in the hilar region, and a large amount of fluid in the abdominal cavity. No existing treatment could be safely implemented. The colleague was in tears, speechless to the sick mother, regretting and blaming herself. As a matter of fact, three years ago we had suggested his mother to have her gallbladder surgically removed to treat gallbladder stone disease, but she ignored it because she felt that gallstone disease did not matter. Gallbladder cancer: it is a malignant tumor of the gallbladder caused by various reasons, which has no obvious symptoms in the early stage and can be easily ignored. Gallbladder cancer often accompanies gallbladder stones, accounting for about 2% of gallbladder stone surgery, and its incidence has increased significantly in recent years, so it should be highly valued by everyone.
