What are the signs of depression?

  Typical manifestations of depression: low mood, lack of interest and energy loss, and lead to a reduction in life and work efficiency.  Other manifestations are as follows: 1. Instrumentation: most of them are casually dressed and not groomed.  2. Facial expressions: mostly the corners of the mouth are down, the eyebrows are tightened into an Omega shape, the head is bent down, the eyes are staring at the ground, not blinking, and the eyes contain tears. There are also patients with no depression on the surface, and even forced smile, but from time to time between the eyebrows show a trace of sadness and sorrow.  3.Movement: little movement and slow movement, slow thinking, slow speech. However, those with anxiety symptoms are restless, rubbing their hands and feet.  4. Emotion: pessimism, self-blame, self-guilt, observing everything around with “gray glasses”, only looking at the negative aspects of things; losing confidence in the future, feeling that they are in a hopeless situation of isolation. Blame all the bad things on themselves, but do not complain about others, and even the small things that happened in the past or small faults as a matter of deep sin.  5. Some patients may be accompanied by anxiety, irritability and agitation. Patients are anxious, restless, can move for small reasons, or even sit still, difficult to self-control.  6.Lack of interest: interest in life, work and hobbies are not interested, think that to participate in various activities are meaningless to themselves.  7.Loss of energy: feeling of general weakness, incompetence, emptiness of the mind, inability to think about problems, significant reduction of will.  8.Biological symptoms: ① Sleep disorder: characterized by early awakening. Some patients have difficulty falling asleep or waking up several times during the night, and a few patients show excessive sleep.  ②Heavy day and light night: Patients reach the lowest point of mood when waking up early, so early in the morning at 3-4 o’clock, patients commit suicide more; generally until the afternoon mood improves, and some patients even in the evening, mood performance as normal.  ③ Appetite, weight and libido are significantly reduced.  9. Patients mostly have constipation, general discomfort or pain and other somatic complaints: some patients may develop symptoms of hypochondria on this basis.
