In theory, symptomatic gallbladder stones should be treated by cholecystectomy; while there are different views on whether asymptomatic gallbladder stones must be surgically removed from the gallbladder, generally speaking, it is not necessary to do cholecystectomy for all asymptomatic gallbladder stones, regular review is fine, but if there are the following conditions, timely surgery should be performed: 1. Older age and poor cardiopulmonary function; 4. Gallbladder atrophy or porcelain gallbladder.
