Be alert when these manifestations of headache appear

  When you have a headache, if these manifestations appear, you must be alert, which may be a signal of some hidden diseases.  1. Headache with violent vomiting suggests increased intracranial pressure, and headache relieved after vomiting is seen in migraine.  2.Headache with vertigo is seen in cerebellar tumor and insufficient blood supply to vertebrobasilar artery.  3.Headache with fever is common in infectious diseases, including intra-cervical or systemic infection. 4.Chronic progressive headache with mental symptoms should be mainly due to intracranial tumor.  5.Sudden increase of chronic headache with impaired consciousness suggests possible brain herniation.  6.Headache with visual impairment can be caused by glaucoma or brain tumor.  7.Headache with meningeal irritation sign suggests meningitis or subarachnoid hemorrhage.  8.Headache with epileptic seizure can be seen in cerebrovascular malformation, intracerebral parasitic disease or brain tumor.  9.Headache with symptoms of neurological disorder may be neurofunctional headache.
