Physical examination of shallow coma

  Physical examination: For comatose patients, the examination should be focused due to the lack of cooperation, which includes: 1, body temperature, pulse, whistling frequency and depth, whistling odor and whistling secretions; 2, blood pressure; 3, whether the skin has cyanosis, hemorrhage, and sweating; 4, the degree of coma; 5, pupil size, whether both sides are equal and response to light; 6, eye activity and oculocerebral reflex; 7, the fundus of the eye has 7. whether there is hemorrhage and exudation of optic papillae; 8. movement and reflexes; 9. meningeal irritation signs, etc.  When there is a suspected coma around, the easiest way to identify it is to check whether the corneal reflex exists, touch the cornea with a cotton wick, normal people or shallow coma will blink, while coma, especially deep coma, has no response.
