The survival time of patients poisoned with paraquat is mainly related to the amount of paraquat taken and whether it is rescued in time, which is divided into mild poisoning, moderate poisoning, severe poisoning and outbreak poisoning. Mild poisoning is paraquat intake <20mg/kg, patients have no obvious symptoms except gastrointestinal symptoms, and most of them can recover completely; moderate to severe poisoning is paraquat intake of 20-40mg/kg, patients will show multifunctional involvement except gastrointestinal symptoms, kidney function and liver function damage may appear within 1-4 days, lung damage will appear within several days to 2 weeks. In addition to gastrointestinal symptoms, patients will show severe gastrointestinal symptoms and will die of multifunctional failure within 1-4 days and rarely survive. There is no specific drug for paraquat poisoning. After paraquat poisoning occurs, patients should go to the hospital emergency clinic for emergency treatment such as gastric lavage and catheterization as soon as possible to save their lives.
