Treatment of Gallbladder Stones

  If you have had an attack, operate promptly. No previous attacks, asymptomatic if 1) gallbladder stones > 2.5-3 cm, 2) combined gallbladder polyps, 3) patients with hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease.  4) Patients with gallbladder stones with ultrasound suggesting limited thickening or porcelain-like gallbladder wall, 5) Patients with gallbladder gallbladder adenomyoma and adenoma combined with stones.  6) Non-functional gallbladder. The gallbladder can be removed prophylactically.  Although surgical treatment has certain risks, gallbladder removal surgery is now very mature, with low risk and less trauma, especially laparoscopic cholecystectomy with minimal trauma. Patients with gallbladder stones are advised to seek consultation with a specialist in hepatobiliary surgery to guide and select treatment options.
