What does pseudopregnancy mean?

Pseudoprecocious puberty is precocious puberty that is not controlled by the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis; there is development of secondary sexual characteristics and elevated levels of sex hormones, but no development of the gonads, and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis is immature.
The main causes fall into the following categories.
1. granulosa-vesicular cell tumours of the ovary, luteinomas, testicular mesenchymal cell tumours and teratomas in gonadal tumours.
2. adrenal tumours, congenital adrenal cortical hyperplasia, etc., among adrenal disorders
3. exogenous sources such as estrogen-containing drugs, physical objects, cosmetics, etc.
4. other disorders: McCune-Albrigh syndrome, familial male-limited precocious puberty, etc.
