There are differences in treatment cycles depending on the cause of the sternal pressure pain.
If the sternal pressure pain is due to acute leukaemia, the patient presents with a longer period of sternal pressure pain as the treatment of leukaemia is a long-term process.
If the pressure pain is due to a sternal fracture or pleurisy, a period of anti-inflammatory treatment or bone repair therapy is required to relieve the sternal pressure pain.
