Nucleoside (Acid) Analog Therapy for Chronic Hepatitis B

Pre-treatment tests: (1) Biochemical indicators including ALT , AST, bilirubin, albumin, etc.; (2) Virological markers including baseline status or level of HBeAg, anti-HBe and HBV DNA; (3) Tests of blood routine, phosphocreatine kinase and serum creatinine, etc. according to the needs of the condition. (4) imaging evaluation. In addition, liver puncture examination is feasible before and after treatment in units with conditions. Relevant indicators should be regularly monitored and followed up during treatment to evaluate the efficacy and improve compliance: (1) biochemical indicators once a month for 3 consecutive times after the start of treatment, and once every 3 months thereafter as the condition improves; (2) virological markers of HBsAg, HBeAg, anti-HBe, and HBV DNA once every 3 months after the start of treatment; (3) ultrasound according to the needs of the condition, blood routine, serum phosphocreatine kinase and creatinine and other indicators as needed. No matter HBeAg positive or negative before treatment, if HBV DNA can still be detected at 1 year of treatment, or if the decrease of HBV DNA is <2 log10, the treatment should be changed to other antiviral drugs (can be overlapped for 1~3 months first). However, for patients with cirrhosis or decompensated liver function, the drug should not be easily stopped.
