Does the red rash from syphilis itch?

Usually the rash caused by syphilis does not have an itchy sensation. The syphilis rash, in its second stage, usually has no characteristic manifestations and comes in many types, such as erythema, papules, macules, plaques, nodules, pustules, and ulcers. Usually one type of skin lesion predominates on a patient, and these skin lesions can appear all over the body. Patients usually do not feel anything special, and some will have a slight itching sensation. Even if the syphilis rash is not treated, most patients can slowly fade away on their own. However, once you enter stage III syphilis, the syphilis rash has some characteristic manifestations, but it does not manifest itself as an itching sensation either. Stage III syphilis, also known as nodular syphilis rash, is mainly manifested as clusters of copper-red infiltrating nodules.
