Is Glutathione 55 serious?

Glutathione reflects the presence or absence of liver cell damage and the degree of liver damage, and is a sensitive indicator of liver function. Although glutamic transaminase 55U/L is higher than the normal range, whether it is serious or not should be judged comprehensively, because some physiological factors can also cause elevated glutamic transaminase, such as exercise, eating, drinking, drugs, staying up late, etc. Through lifestyle interventions such as abstaining from alcohol, eating a light diet, avoiding high-protein diets, getting enough sleep, keeping a happy mood, and avoiding over-intensive work, the enzyme can generally return to normal on its own without the need for medication. High ghrelin may also indicate the early stages of certain diseases or that the disease has progressed to a certain stage. There are also many serious clinical conditions that can cause high glutathione, such as myocardial infarction and myocarditis. In myocardial infarction, in particular, glutathione values rise gradually over time, reaching a peak within 48 hours. However, the early stage of the lesion may only be high, and if left unattended, there is a high risk of misdiagnosis or underdiagnosis, resulting in serious consequences and possibly even death of the patient. Many liver diseases may also cause elevated glutathione, especially after maintaining a very high level, with a gradual decrease in glutathione values and a gradual increase in bilirubin values, i.e. bilirubin separation, indicating a more serious condition and a poor prognosis.
