What are the signs of psychogenic depression?

Psychogenic depression may refer to reactive depression or psychogenic depression, which is depression due to psychological stimuli. It is mostly classified as depressive episode in current classification, and a few may be classified as acute stress reaction or post-traumatic stress disorder, with the main distinction between core and additional symptoms. There are three main core symptoms: 1. unexplained depressed mood; 2. lack of interest and loss of pleasure; 3. lack of energy or excessive fatigue. Additional symptoms include the following: 1, low self-confidence or low self-esteem; 2, self-blame or self-guilt; 3, thoughts of death or suicide, and suicidal behavior; 4, cognitive dysfunction, such as slower thinking, poor concentration, memory loss, etc.; 5, sleep disorders, difficulty falling asleep or early awakening; 6, psychomotor inhibition or excitement, the patient is more slow to respond, less efficient, and also may pay too much attention to one thing and be more excited; 7, the patient’s appetite may change and there will be a corresponding change in weight; 8, sexual dysfunction, there will be a lack of libido, orgasmic difficulties, etc.
