How many days of blue light for hemolytic jaundice in newborns

How long a newborn needs to take blue light for hemolytic jaundice depends on the clinical symptoms, if the symptoms are mild, it usually takes about 7 to 10 days; if the symptoms are more obvious, it takes about 10 to 30 days.
Hemolytic jaundice in newborns is mostly caused by the incompatibility of mother and baby’s blood type, for example, the mother is O-type blood or Rh-negative, while the newborn belongs to AB, A, B, which represents the incompatibility of blood type, if the symptoms are relatively mild, and there are no other complications, it can be recovered in 7 to 10 days of blue light irradiation.
On the contrary, if the hemolytic jaundice is more serious and anemia occurs, blood exchange treatment is needed, and the blue light irradiation time may be longer, needing about 10 days to 30 days.
It is recommended that newborns with hemolytic jaundice seek prompt medical attention and active treatment.
