Symptoms of Gallbladder Stones in Women

The symptoms of gallbladder stones in women are the same as those of gallbladder stones in the general population, mainly in the form of pain in the abdomen, in the right upper abdomen or in the subxiphoid process. In the case of chronic inflammation of the gallbladder, the pain is mild. If acute inflammation of the gallbladder is induced, the pain is gradually increasing and sometimes very intense in nature, and there may also be a radiating pain in the right scapula. Patients may also develop fever and may experience nausea, vomiting, and abdominal distention. In patients with gallbladder stones, if there is a combination of inflammation of the biliary tract or if the patient has frequent abdominal pain, this is an indication for surgery and the patient’s gallbladder is usually removed laparoscopically.
