What is prostate disease in women?

  ”Female prostate disease, also known as bladder neck hypertrophy, is generally considered to be caused by fibroplasia of the bladder neck. The clinical manifestations are difficulty in urination and urinary retention. It is more common in female patients.  Ultrasound imaging: 1, normal bladder neck: longitudinal images can be seen on the front and back of the bladder wall confluence slightly thickened, slightly low echogenicity, isosceles triangle with the tip down before urination, the neck expansion during urination, the tip open, a small funnel shape. An oval hypoechoic area between the bladder anechoic area and the anterior vaginal wall is seen in cross-section, with a size range of <15mm transverse diameter, <10mm anterior-posterior diameter, and a circumference of no more than 35mm. 2. Bladder neck hypertrophy sonogram: the bladder neck hypoechoic area increases in extent, has a prostate-like morphology, can protrude into the bladder, and the range of each meridian exceeds normal values, with urinary retention and hydronephrosis in severe cases, and during voiding The bladder neck is observed to be poorly dilated with reduced motility.
