Children with precocious puberty have faster early physical development than normal children of the same age and gender, and their bodies appear taller. However, due to premature sexual development, a large amount of sex hormones also promote premature epiphyseal closure, and the child’s bone age exceeds the actual age, making the child’s growth period shorter than that of children of the same age and sex, resulting in a shorter adult than normal. In addition, due to the early emergence of sexual development, the psychological burden of precocious children is increased, the child’s body tends to mature but the mind is not yet mature, premature development but low sexual protection ability, but also easy to make precocious children suffer from injury. To detect precocious puberty in children as early as possible, in addition to observing whether children have secondary sexual signs in daily life – breast nuclei in girls and enlarged testicles in boys – the sudden acceleration of height growth in children before the age of 10 is often a sign of precocious puberty. Parents should take their children to a regular hospital with a pediatric endocrinology specialty for consultation and medical treatment.
