Hepatic cavernous hemangioma is a relatively common benign liver tumor, the onset of slow, smaller hemangiomas are usually asymptomatic, when the tumor grows, the main manifestations of hepatomegaly and compression symptoms, such as abdominal distension and abdominal pain, loss of appetite, nausea, belching. If the tumor ruptures, hemorrhagic shock and acute abdomen symptoms will appear. Epigastric mass is a common sign. Diagnosis of hepatic hemangioma mainly relies on ultrasound, enhanced CT, nuclear magnetic resonance, and it is not difficult to diagnose in general, but it is sometimes difficult to differentiate atypical hepatic hemangioma from hepatocellular carcinoma. Asymptomatic small hepatic hemangiomas with clear diagnosis usually do not require treatment, while those that require surgical treatment: 1) symptomatic; 2) at risk of rupture; 3) infiltrative growth within the liver; 4) hemangiomas located in the vicinity of the first and second hepatic portals; 5) huge hepatic hemangiomas with a diameter of >6 cm or even 10 cm; 6) difficult to distinguish from hepatic hemangiosarcoma and rapid growth in a short period of time. Since 2010, our hospital has been performing microwave curing ablation treatment for hepatic hemangioma, which is based on the principle of forming a 3*5cm oval high temperature area around the microwave cutter and directly destroying the lesion. Small hemangiomas can be treated with percutaneous puncture microwave curing ablation, which is less painful, quicker recovery, no need for surgery, and can be done under local anesthesia. Larger hemangiomas can be ablated by microwave curing under laparoscopy for several times, which can destroy most of the tumors, relieve the symptoms and achieve the therapeutic purpose, with good efficacy, small trauma and fast recovery.
