There are many types of headaches and different types of medications.

Every year from June to September, the right side of my head hurts badly, basically once every 1~2 days, and it takes about 4~5 hours to relieve the pain. What is this? Primary headache is a type of headache that has no organic disease and has a specific pattern, and the cause is basically untraceable. They include migraine, tension-type headache, cluster headache, and other rare primary headaches. Secondary headaches are mostly caused by organic diseases and are a symptom of other diseases, such as brain hemorrhage, tumor, encephalitis, low cranial pressure, and even high fever and hypertension. There are two types of headache to be considered: one is cluster headache, which is characterized by: 1) severe headache, generally unbearable; 2) patients with each attack for a few minutes to 2~3 hours, more often than once a day, less often than once in 1-2 days; 3) some attacks have regularity, such as one attack at a certain time every day, but not so painful at other times after the attack; 4) unilateral pain. The pain is unilateral, accompanied by tearing in the ipsilateral eye, or nasal congestion or runny nose on the ipsilateral side, or narrowing of the ipsilateral pupil and drooping eyelids. There is another kind of migraine, which generally has the following characteristics: 1) most of the headaches are severe, with a feeling of pulsating blood vessels; 2) it is episodic, usually lasting from 3 to 4 hours to 3 days, and most patients have pain for a few hours to half a day, and then get better after a sleep. Fear of light, fear of noise, etc., preferring a quiet and relatively dark environment, so most patients will go to sleep. The treatment of these two kinds of headache is very different. In the attack of migraine, you can choose ordinary antipyretic and analgesic drugs, or even special treprotan-like drugs; for cluster headache, anti-inflammatory pain is more effective, or pure oxygen treatment; to prevent the attack of migraine, you can use western medicine Cipro, and for cluster headache, you can use hormonal drugs.
