Gallbladder Cancer Symptoms

There are no specific symptoms in the early stage of gallbladder cancer, and when obvious clinical symptoms appear with the development of lesion, it is often the manifestation of advanced stage of tumor. Pain in right upper abdomen: Since gallbladder cancer mostly coexists with inflammation of gallbladder stones, the nature of pain is similar to that of stone cholecystitis. It starts from discomfort in right upper abdomen, followed by persistent hidden pain or dull pain, sometimes with paroxysmal severe pain and radiating to right shoulder. Second, indigestion: indigestion, aversion to grease, belching, poor appetite. This is due to insufficient gallbladder function for digestion of fatty substances. Jaundice: Jaundice often appears in the late stage of the disease. Jaundice is caused by the invasion of bile duct by cancer tissue. It is accompanied by emaciation, weakness and even cachexia, yellow staining of skin and mucous membrane, and itching of skin. Fever: Some patients develop fever. V. Right upper abdominal mass: A mass appears in the right upper abdomen or epigastrium. It is because the rapid growth of the tumor obstructs the bile duct and enlarges the gallbladder; if the tumor invades the duodenum, it can also cause obstruction; in addition, the tumor invades the liver, stomach and pancreas, the mass can also appear in the corresponding area. If symptoms of right upper abdomen pain, indigestion and yellow skin or yellow urine appear, you should go to hospital for examination in time to exclude the possibility of gallbladder cancer, especially for patients with gallbladder stones or gallbladder polyps, they need regular review and timely treatment to prevent cancerous changes.
