Compound acetaminophen tablets have some therapeutic effect on dysmenorrhea because it belongs to a kind of antipyretic and analgesic drug itself. Primary dysmenorrhea refers to dysmenorrhea from the beginning of menstruation, while secondary dysmenorrhea is mainly related to organic lesions, such as endometriosis or adenomyosis. Generally, compound acetaminophen tablets work better for primary dysmenorrhea because it has no organic lesions, while secondary dysmenorrhea is best treated by removing the primary lesions, i.e. organic lesions, after which the dysmenorrhea will be relieved. Acetaminophen tablets should not be taken for a long time because they may cause side effects such as leukopenia or liver and kidney damage.
