The Specialized Bipolar Disorder Clinic was created by the Bipolar Disorder Group of the Clinical Research Laboratory, and has gained strong support and active cooperation from leaders at all levels of the Peking University Sixth Hospital, and from various departments such as the Medical Affairs Department, Outpatient Clinic, Medical Insurance Office, and Medical Information Center! The clinic aims to provide systematic and comprehensive management services for bipolar disorder patients. 1. Case management service: Our psychiatrists will provide patients with one-on-one personalized management guidance and long-term continuity services. Case management guidance is provided by the doctor in consultation with the patient to choose an individualized treatment plan, including emotional management and vocational ability promotion programs; group activities are provided to strengthen the therapeutic support between similar patients, and to exchange experience in emotional self-management. 2. Case assessment service: We will provide each patient with comprehensive screening assessment, diagnostic assessment, follow-up assessment, cognitive and social functioning assessment, and health resource assessment according to the needs of the patient and his/her family to help the patient discover his/her own strengths and advantages, and provide targeted assistance to help the patient overcome the obstacles to emotional management, maximize the use of existing resources, and facilitate the patient’s early return to the occupational society. 3.Health education service: The case management professional team will regularly invite patients and their families to attend knowledge lectures and case discussions at the emotional health base to share common problems and successful experiences of emotional management in individual cases.
