The etiology and pathogenesis of sweating mainly include disharmony of Ying and Wei, weakness of Lung Qi, heat in the Lung and Stomach, dampness and heat in the Spleen and Stomach, poor diet, deficiency of Yang Qi, and lack of consolidation of Central Yang. Acute fever or various critical illnesses, sudden profuse sweating, or sweating like oil, mental exhaustion, cold extremities, shortage of breath, dry tongue with little fluid, thin pulse. The treatment is to benefit the qi and return the yang, to consolidate the sweat, and to add flavor to Ginseng and Longmu Tang. If the fever is accompanied by thirst and desire to drink, with a red and vivid tongue or a curled tongue, it is a sign of Yang deficiency and Yin exhaustion, and can be used in combination with Shengwen San. The extreme sweating is the evidence of serious danger, as a manifestation of the dying of life and the departure of yin and yang from the decision, emergency measures should be taken, if not treated in time, it can be life-threatening. Fourth, yellow sweat is mostly damp heat. War sweats generally do not require special treatment, and are mainly treated according to the primary condition. Head sweat is commonly known as “steamer head”, which is caused by internal heat, resulting in internal steam of damp heat. The treatment is to combine Bai Hu Tang with Wu Ling San. Heart Sweat Heart sweat refers to localized sweating in the fossa of the heart, mostly due to worry and panic and damage to the heart and spleen. The treatment is to add flavor to GUI Spleen Tang. Sweating of the hands and feet, mostly due to dampness in the spleen and stomach, which is caused by dampness in the extremities, hands and feet.
