General knowledge of depression

Depression is a common disorder, with one in ten men likely to suffer from depression; and one in five women. Depression severely disturbs the lives and work of sufferers, places a heavy burden on families and society, and about 15 percent of depressed people die by suicide. The annual economic cost of depression in the United States reaches $43.7 billion. A joint study by the World Health Organization, the World Bank and Harvard University shows that depression has become the second most common disease burden in China. However, due to lack of awareness, the vast majority of people with depression are not properly diagnosed and treated. Current research has confirmed that depression is directly related to the lack of the neurotransmitter pentraxin in the brain, so depression is not scary, as long as you receive timely and correct medication to increase the concentration of pentraxin in the brain, along with psychotherapy, you will recover quickly and meet the various challenges of life with a bubbly spirit and a confident and optimistic image again.
