How soon can a positive hpv6 test turn negative?

The time to turn positive for HPV6 is related to the treatment, the patient’s condition and sensitivity to treatment, and can take up to about 1 month to turn negative. HPV6 is a low-risk type of human papilloma virus that can lead to the development of condyloma acuminata in infected individuals, and continued progression may lead to serious lesions, such as cervical cancer. Treatment options include medication, laser treatment or surgical removal. Some patients may experience HPV6 regression after 1-2 months following regular treatment, and it may take up to 4 months for those with poor treatment results to experience regression. In addition, because HPV6 is prone to recurrence after treatment, patients should be reviewed regularly and treated promptly if recurrence occurs. Since HPV6 causes warts in moist and warm areas such as the female vagina, it is highly contagious. Therefore, sexual partners should be examined and treated at the same time when infected with HPV6 to avoid aggravation and delay in treatment.
