It is commonly believed that cirrhosis occurs in the later stages of hepatitis and that anti-fibrotic treatment is not necessarily indicated in the chronic hepatitis stage, which is incorrect. Currently, it is believed that liver fibrosis occurs in all stages of chronic hepatitis, and early and aggressive anti-fibrotic treatment should be given in order to prevent or delay the occurrence and development of cirrhosis. The commonly used western drugs against liver fibrosis in the past include colchicine and D-penicillamine, which are no longer used because of their large side effects and poor clinical efficacy. Here are a few common Chinese medicine preparations against liver fibrosis: 1. Cordyceps preparation: The active ingredient of Cordyceps is Cordyceps sinensis, which is an anti-aging Chinese medicine to protect the heart and liver function. It can inhibit the deposition of total collagen and type I and III collagen in the liver, so that the collagen already formed can be dissolved and reabsorbed. The amino acids in the drug also facilitate the synthesis of serum albumin, and the Chinese medicine Heart and Liver Capsules belong to such preparations. Three Zero Two Hospital of the PLA uses Cordyceps sinensis as the main drug to make soft liver tablets (compound turtle shell soft liver tablets), which has a significant inhibitory effect on the lipid storage cells that promote fibrosis, inhibits collagen fiber synthesis and deposition in the liver Di’s gap, and slows down the process of liver fibrosis. 2.Danshen preparation: Beijing Friendship Hospital study concluded that clinically, after hepatitis cirrhosis patients took danshen preparation, the portal vein pressure and splenic vein pressure decreased, and the spleen had a certain degree of retraction, which mainly led to a significant decrease of type III pre-collagen peptide (PIIIP) and laminin (LN). 3.Peach kernel preparation: Shanghai Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine used peach kernel preparation to treat patients with hepatic sclerosis, and laboratory tests found that serum hyaluronic acid (HA) and laminin (LN) indexes decreased, serum albumin level could increase, and cellular immunity level improved. 4.Hanfangji A: It is the extract of Chinese medicine Khanfangji, which can make the serum pre-collagen type III peptide (PIIIP) and hyaluronic acid (HA) decrease and reduce the degree of liver fibrosis. Other preparations such as Chinese medicine Chai Ling Tang, Huachanin, Baicalin and Shuang Hua can be used at the discretion of the doctor’s experience.
