White lesions of the vulva

1, hyperplastic dystrophy: occurring in women aged 30-60 years old, itchy vulva, scratched with local pain, mainly affecting the labia majora, interlabial sulcus, clitoris and posterior union, etc. Mostly symmetrical distribution. The skin of the lesion resembles leathery elevation, with folds or scales, and has eczema-like changes. The surface is mostly dark red or pink interspersed with well-defined white plaques, usually without atrophy or adhesion. 2, sclerosing mossy dystrophy: visible at any age, mostly seen in women around 40 years old, the lesions are asymptomatic or mildly pruritic in the early stage, and have difficulty in sexual intercourse in the late stage, the damage involves vulvar skin, mucosa and perianal skin. In addition, the skin and mucosa become white, thin, dry and easily cracked, and lose elasticity. The clitoris is often atrophied, the labia minora are flat and disappear, the skin is thin and wrinkled like cigarette paper in the late stages, and the vaginal opening is contracted and narrowed to fit the fingertips. In young girls, vulvar and perianal discomfort is often felt after urination or defecation, and local examination reveals yellow patches of white lesions in the form of lockholes. Usually the damage disappears on its own by puberty. 3, mixed dystrophy: the main manifestation of the thin vulvar whitening area in its scope or adjacent parts with focal skin thickening or elevation.
