The patients are in my heart

On October 2, during the National Day, a female patient in the emergency ward had difficulty in puncturing the peripheral vein, the nurses really couldn’t tie the needle, and asked us to go to PICC to place the tube, I rushed to the hospital from home at noon, after nearly an hour’s effort, finally in the right upper limb of your vein a needle to see blood, the tube was successfully placed, the first three days were very smooth, and no bleeding was seen. On October 6, I just returned to Jinan from my hometown and rushed to the hospital to check the patient, change the medication again and put pressure on the bandage. On October 7, I went to the ward to see the patient again and found that the blood was coming from the upper left side of the puncture point, like a very small artery, not the puncture point, so I changed the medication again and put pressure bandage on the patient. If it was a pulmonary embolism, it might be necessary to add warfarin. I was so nervous that if I used warfarin, the bleeding would be even worse, so I must try to stop the bleeding today! Yunnan Baiyao, thrombin, and ・・・・・・ were all swirling around in my head! These days my mind is stuffed with this patient’s condition, I am thinking about how to stop the bleeding during the day and night, I have to call at night when I arrive home to ask if the bleeding is still there, I have to call before going to bed to ask, and the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is to call the ward ・・・・・・. I went back to the ward after work on the 8th, and when I changed the medication, I placed some Yunnan Baiyao on the puncture point and gauze, and put pressure dressing on it. The patient’s forearm and hand would swell if the pressure bandage was applied for too long, so I sat in front of the patient’s bed and pressed the gauze at the puncture point for an hour, observing that the patient was not bleeding, loosening the elastic bandage appropriately, and explaining the precautions to the nurse before I left work and went home, and it was eight o’clock at night. I called at ten o’clock to ask whether there was bleeding, and the nurse said there was no bleeding; before going to bed, nearly 1:00 a.m., I called again to ask, and the nurse said there was no bleeding, and asked the nurse to loosen the elastic bandage; I got up at 6:00 a.m., and called again to ask, and the nurse said there was no bleeding; at 7:40 a.m., I went to work at the hospital, and rushed to the ward, and pressed the gauze under the patch myself, and there was really no bleeding, so I was finally relieved, and I breathed a long sigh of relief. I was relieved and breathed a long sigh of relief. The head nurse said that the patient would be on warfarin today. Gao Wei, Nursing Consultation, Qilu Hospital, Shandong University
The patient grabbed my hand and was full of gratitude ・・・・・・
PICC placement patients are all in my heart, lung cancer patients with frequent coughs need heparin saline to seal the tube, patients with hypercoagulable state need to focus on thrombosis prevention, patients with three liter bags need saline pulse flushing tube, ・・・・・・ and those children with leukemia ・・・・・・ are all in my heart.
