Proper treatment of hepatitis B virus carriers

Since the American scientist Baruch? Samuel Blumberg Since Baruch Sumull Blumberg discovered the “Australian antigen” (now known as the hepatitis B virus surface antigen) in 1965, the diagnosis of the cause of hepatitis B has been completely solved, treatment and prevention have changed radically, and drugs targeting the etiology of the disease have been developed. The drugs that target the etiology of the disease have been developed. With scientific treatment, the health of countless hepatitis B patients has been greatly improved, and the invention of the hepatitis B vaccine has successfully protected hundreds of millions of people from the hepatitis B virus. All of humanity shares in this great scientific achievement of Blumberg. However, it was the discovery of the “Australian antigen” and the accurate diagnosis of hepatitis B that caused those who were not symptomatic carriers of hepatitis B virus to suffer unspeakable troubles and pains, and to be discriminated against and rejected by society. Alas, the smart Blumberg, the annoying Blumberg! If there was no Blumberg in the world, if Blumberg did not discover the “Australian antigen”, then, these many hepatitis B virus carriers can work and live as normal people? Where would all this anguish and pain, divide and discrimination come from? But after all, the discovery of the Australian antigen is a major advance in medical science. The discrimination against hepatitis B patients and hepatitis B carriers is not Blumberg’s fault, and it is not Blumberg’s fault that he discovered the “Australian antigen”. The problem is that our medical knowledge is not yet in place, and many people only know one thing about hepatitis B, but not the other. They only know that hepatitis B is an infectious disease, but they do not know that everyday contact (such as conversation, handshake, ritual kissing and hugging) is not contagious, and they form a divide with people infected with the hepatitis B virus in a superb sense of self-protection. On the other hand, some medical institutions and drug pushers overstate and exaggerate the danger of hepatitis B for their own profit-making purposes, and advertisements that go against science, such as “all major and minor triplets should be treated, and if not treated, they will become cirrhosis of the liver”, increase the psychological pressure on people infected with hepatitis B virus, and increase the fear and discrimination of the general public against hepatitis B. The pace of science has come to a grinding halt in the midst of obscurity and stupidity. There are many people infected with the hepatitis B virus in China, and it involves a wide range of people and has a great impact, so how important it is to carry science to the end and strengthen the popularization of medical knowledge in this area! The majority of medical workers in the treatment of disease and save people at the same time, should be oriented to the community, the community more and better to promote the prevention and treatment of hepatitis B knowledge. People should be told that people with hepatitis B virus (regardless of whether they are the so-called “major triplets” or “minor triplets”) can go to school, work, and get married as normal people, and they should enjoy the happiness of work and life as normal people. We hope that our civilized society will show more love and understanding to people with hepatitis B virus, and less divide and discrimination. We also hope that the mass media will shoulder more social responsibility, carry out more medical science knowledge propaganda, publish less medical advertisements that go against science, and actively guide the general public to follow the path of science and health.
