How can I treat ankylosing spondylitis that will greatly reduce disability?

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) has an early onset, insidious symptoms, and generally takes 5-10 years from the first symptoms to diagnosis, and is one of the most difficult diseases in the world today. 1. High incidence of disability. The incidence rate in China is about 0.3%, and the disability rate is as high as 65%. The disability mainly occurs in the spine and hip joints and other large joints. 2, treatment difficulties. Because its pathological mechanism is not well understood, treatment is still a major difficulty. In particular, the treatment of the ankylosing phase of AS is a worldwide problem. In the vast majority of grassroots, people, including primary care physicians, lack sufficient attention to the disease, coupled with the economic situation and other factors, ankylosing spondylitis patients occur severe spinal dysfunction resulting in lifelong disability. 3. Long-term medication leads to drug side effects and poverty due to long-term use of medication. Treatment of ankylosing spondylitis traditionally uses first-line nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers such as anti-inflammatory pain, fenbendazole, meloxicam, etc. and second-line drugs such as methotrexate, lorazepam, and recently developed biological agents such as anti-tumor necrosis factor. The long-term use of these drugs has obvious toxic effects, such as inflammatory bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular damage, bone marrow suppression, and allergic reactions, or because the drugs are expensive a course of treatment costs 15,000-100,000 RMB, and long-term use will lead to family poverty. The main goals of the current treatment of ankylosing spondylitis can be summarized as 4 Ds: relief of pain (discomfort), reduction of disability (disability), prevention of drug toxicity (drug toxicity), and reduction of economic burden (dollar lost), we summed up a lot of previous clinical experience, based on the absorption and introduction of the world’s latest research results. We have adopted bio-diagnostic technology and MRI imaging technology, which have greatly improved the early diagnosis rate; and for the first time in the world, we have proposed a clinical staging standard, which divides the long “ankylosis stage” into fibrous ankylosis stage and bony ankylosis stage. Based on the combination of Chinese and Western medicine to suppress AS activity, our department innovatively adopts intensive silver needle minimally invasive surgery to eliminate the myofascial inflammation in the ankylosing area, release the adhesions of the spine and soft tissues of the joints, significantly improve the functional activities of the joints, improve the quality of life, interrupt the pathological progression from fibrous ankylosis to bony ankylosis, and reduce the disability rate, breaking the world authority that ankylosing spondylitis patients are irreversible. It breaks the belief of the world authorities that joint ankylosis is irreversible. Our treatment plan has a good representation of reducing all four Ds, which has a greater social significance and promotion value. The technique is safe, easy to operate and effective. This clinical technique research was funded by the Guangzhou Science and Technology Bureau Fund, and the research results were entered into the National Science and Technology Achievement Journal.
