What rights do patients have?

All patients preparing for surgery at the hospital, including, of course, those undergoing cosmetic surgery, enjoy the right to: have their treatment plan fully considered, be as safe and comfortable as possible, and have their privacy protected. Accuracy of the information provided at the time of consultation and in any teaching or promotional material: the hospital’s credentials. Whether they are qualified to perform the appropriate procedure. Provide appropriate certification. Qualifications of the surgeon. Whether or not the attending surgeon is qualified to perform the appropriate procedure. Provide the appropriate certification. The risks and possible complications of the procedure. The benefits of the surgery and the actual results that may be obtained. The appropriate surgical approach regarding the condition they seek to treat. Assurance that their surgery will be performed in an appropriately staffed and qualified operating room. Assurance that their surgery and initial recovery process will be supervised by qualified medical staff. Discharge them from the hospital in a stable condition and ready to go home. Provide appropriate follow-up throughout the recovery period.
