Menopausal gonorrhea, also known as perimenopausal women, is irregular vaginal bleeding, which is mostly due to a typical manifestation of the patient’s lack of ovulation. Patients are suffering from endocrine disorders and abnormal secretion of estrogen and progesterone during menopause and perimenopause, which cause abnormal bleeding from the uterus due to abnormal endometrial reaction. Most of the menopausal meritorious hemorrhage is anovulatory type of meritorious hemorrhage. The anovulatory type is mainly due to a single estrogen acting on the endometrium without progesterone to antagonize it, thus causing the uterus to repair and shed in an uncoordinated manner, resulting in intermittent bleeding from the uterus. From a TCM point of view, most patients with perimenopausal gonorrhea also suffer from kidney deficiency and imbalance of kidney yin and yang, which causes irregular vaginal bleeding due to abnormal uterine rushing, qi and blood transportation.
