If it is primary dysmenorrhea, we will tell the patient to pay attention to cold and stimulation in the diet. For patients with secondary dysmenorrhea, such as endometriosis and adenomyosis, acupuncture may be more effective during menstruation. However, in such patients, the course of treatment may be longer, usually about 3 months, or even up to 6 months in some cases. If the symptoms of adenomyosis are more severe, we may even consider other methods, such as interventional methods, which may be better.
