  How long you can sleep with one Trazodone Hydrochloride tablet varies depending on your individual constitution and sensitivity to the drug.  Trazodone hydrochloride tablets are a tetracyclic, atypical antidepressant that improves sleep in depressed patients through central sedation and mild muscle relaxation, as well as antidepressant effects. The drug shortens the time to fall asleep, prolongs the overall sleep time and improves the quality of sleep in depressed patients. Taking trazodone hydrochloride tablets usually prolongs sleep by 2-6 hours, although individual differences exist. The onset of action of Trazodone Hydrochloride Tablets varies among patients, with some patients showing significant improvement in 1-2 weeks, and 1/4 of patients taking the drug for more than 4 consecutive weeks to show improvement. If the effect is still unsatisfactory after 6 weeks of taking the drug, you may not be sensitive to the drug and it is recommended to consult your doctor for a change in time.
