Can esophageal cancer be saved?

Esophageal cancer can be treated, but the prognosis is related to the early and late period of detection and type of esophageal cancer. Esophageal cancer only represents malignant tumors that occur in the esophagus. After the occurrence of malignant tumors, according to the medical convention, esophageal cancer can be either squamous or adenocarcinoma. Squamous carcinoma will appear in the upper esophagus and adenocarcinoma will appear in the lower segment. Its staging will also be performed, and the staging will be based on the size of the tumor, lymph node invasion, and distant metastasis. For early-stage esophageal cancer, complete cure can be achieved through radiotherapy and surgery; for mid- to late-stage esophageal cancer, pre-operative radiotherapy and chemotherapy, or even pre-operative immunotherapy transformation before surgery and post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy, can also achieve better results. For patients with advanced stage IV esophageal cancer, it does not necessarily mean that it is life-threatening either. If the patient has esophageal stricture, he can routinely put down a nasal feeding tube or do stenting to keep the patient’s diet good, and the good condition body will recover and do radical radiotherapy, which can make the patient get better results. Therefore, esophageal cancer can be saved, don’t panic.
