The treatment of esophageal cancer should be comprehensive. According to the stage of esophageal cancer at the time of diagnosis, patients who can be operated should be operated as much as possible which is the basic principle. Minimally invasive surgery has certain advantages. For example, some inoperable patients may not be able to achieve radical surgery because of poor cardiopulmonary function or late surgical staging, so minimally invasive treatment is also possible. Minimally invasive treatment is less expensive, less traumatic and has fewer adverse effects. There are many kinds of minimally invasive treatments for esophageal cancer, including implantation of esophageal stents, endoscopic local injection of drugs, vascular intervention, local chemotherapy, etc., which can achieve certain therapeutic effects.
