Drugs for esophageal cancer

Patients with esophageal cancer can be given prophylactic chemotherapy drugs, such as docetaxel plus cisplatin chemotherapy regimen, because they are unable to undergo surgery due to advanced stage or after the surgery for esophageal cancer is over. In addition, immune boosting drugs such as thymopentin intramuscular injection can also be given to enhance the patient’s resistance. Docetaxel plus cisplatin chemotherapy regimen is usually given for 5 days, 21 days as a cycle, and usually 4-6 times is a total course of treatment. After chemotherapy, the stage of esophageal cancer tumor can be reduced, and some patients can fight for the chance of surgery again.
